Prada CEO Gianfranco D’Attis to Exit Amid Strategic Differences

Prada has announced that CEO Gianfranco D’Attis will leave the company by mutual agreement, effective June 30. Sources indicate internal disagreements over strategy led to the decision. Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra will take over on an interim basis. D’Attis, who joined in 2022, was the first non-family member to serve as Prada’s CEO. His departure comes as Prada Group sales rose 13 percent in Q1, driven largely by Miu Miu.

Casetify Collaborates with The Little Prince

To mark International The Little Prince Day, Casetify has launched its first collaboration with the beloved book, releasing a themed collection on June 20. The line features tech accessories inspired by key elements from the story, such as the rose, fox, and asteroid B-612, translating them into phone cases, stands, iPad covers, and more. The 2025 Aranya Theater Festival opened on June 19 in Qinhuangdao, China, featuring 94 performances across 15 venues over 11 days under the theme “Sensibility and Sense.” This year, Pop Mart’s character Twinkle Twinkle made its festival debut, blending pop culture with contemporary theater. The event showcases 29 productions from 13 countries, spanning drama, dance, and absurdist theater.

Juventus Extends Partnership with Adidas Through 2037

Juventus has renewed its technical sponsorship with Adidas in a 10-year deal worth 408 million euros, set to begin in the 2027–28 season and run through 2036–37. The current agreement, valid until June 2027, remains unchanged. The new contract covers all Juventus teams and excludes performance bonuses or royalties from exceeding sales targets. Juventus and Adidas have been partners since the 2015–16 season.

Alibaba.com Orders Surge 42 Percent in June

Alibaba.com reported a 42 percent year-over-year increase in platform orders and nearly 30 percent growth in GMV since June. The US market has rebounded with a 25 percent growth rate, including early holiday inventory stocking, while Europe continues to show strong momentum. Typically a low season for exports, June saw a spike due to Alibaba’s mid-year “618” campaign. To capture continued US demand, the platform will extend the campaign through August, with no entry barriers for new merchants.

Shanghai International Film Festival 2025 Boosts Tourism and Economy

The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival, held from June 13 to 22, brought an estimated ¥4.997 billion RMB in economic benefits to the city. Over 400 films from 71 countries were screened in 43 cinemas, drawing 484,000 moviegoers, 29.2 percent of whom traveled to Shanghai specifically for the festival.
