Lululemon Reports Strong 2024 Fiscal Year Performance
Lululemon’s global net revenue for the 2024 fiscal year increased by 10 percent to $10.6 billion, with international markets growing 34 percent. The company saw a 13 percent revenue boost in Q4, reaching $3.6 billion, driven by product innovation and new launches. In China, Q4 revenue grew by 46 percent, and for the entire fiscal year, it rose 41 percent. The brand emphasized expanding awareness through community engagement, ambassador collaborations, and large-scale global events. Lululemon continues to focus on its “Power of Three ×2” growth strategy for 2025.
Maogeping Records Strong 2024 Growth
Chinese beauty brand, Maogeping announced its 2024 annual results, with revenue rising 34.61 percent year-on-year to RMB 3.885 billion. Net profit attributable to shareholders increased by 33.04 percent to RMB 881 million. The company expanded its presence in high-end department stores, adding locations in cities like Wuhan, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, with over 378 self-operated counters and 31 franchise counters nationwide. Additionally, its makeup training business grew by 45.8 percent, reaching RMB 152 million, and the company introduced new online courses to further promote its brand and beauty philosophy.
Peacebird Reports Declining Profits in 2024 Annual Report
Chinese clothing brand, Peacebird announced its 2024 annual results, revealing a decline in both revenue and profits. The company’s revenue dropped by 12.7 percent to RMB ¥6.8 billion, with net profit falling by 38.7 percent to RMB ¥260 million. Peacebird also reported a 15.05 percent increase in inventory and a 9.25 percent rise in accounts receivable. Despite efforts to reduce costs through store closures, the company’s performance continues to struggle, with its revenue and net profit experiencing a third consecutive year of decline. The company implemented measures like cost-cutting and store closures but has yet to see sustained improvements.
Golden Goose and Jackson Yee Unveils New Collection
Golden Goose partnered with its global ambassador Jackson Yee, A Chinese Singer and Actor, to co-create two exclusive Super-Star sneakers. The collaboration blends Golden Goose’s signature “Lived-in” design with Jackson’s artistic philosophy, merging Italian craftsmanship with elements of traditional Chinese culture. One version features delicate calligraphy excerpts from The Six Records of a Floating Life, while the other showcases embroidered flowers. Both designs reflect a harmonious balance between modern fashion and classical artistry, available now through official channels.
Daphne International Announces Strong 2024 Performance
Chinese footwear brand, Daphne International Holdings announced its 2024 annual results, reporting a 23 percent year-on-year revenue increase to RMB ¥322 million. Gross profit rose to RMB ¥163 million, while net profit attributable to shareholders grew by 71 percent to approximately RMB ¥107 million. The company’s revenue breakdown includes RMB ¥127 million from licensing fees, RMB ¥175 million from wholesale sales, and RMB ¥21 million from retail sales. With e-commerce platforms such as Tmall and TikTok driving growth, Daphne plans to strengthen its online presence while expanding its offline network, including opening new stores in emerging cities.
Autonomous Driving Company WeRide Receives Driverless License in France
Chinese autonomous driving company WeRide announced that it had partnered with French autonomous mobility operator beti to receive a driverless license for public road testing and operations in France. The license permits WeRide’s autonomous minibuses to operate at speeds of up to 40 km/h, the highest speed allowed for driverless road testing in the country. WeRide has conducted autonomous driving research, testing, and operations in 30 cities across 10 countries, with its products including robotaxis and autonomous buses already deployed in countries like France, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, and Japan.
Acne Studios and Kappa Launches New 2025 Spring/Summer Capsule Collection
Acne Studios has teamed up with Italian sportswear brand Kappa to release a 22-piece capsule collection for the 2025 Spring/Summer season. The collection blends athletic functionality with luxury design, featuring football jerseys, tight-fitting tops, tracksuits, denim pants, sneakers, and a special version of the Bowlina bag. Inspired by vintage football gear, the collection includes bold items like a flame-patterned football jersey and logo-branded accessories. The collection will be available on the Acne Studios website from March 27 and in stores starting April 3.
Belle Fashion Secures Brand Licensing for Champion in Greater China
Belle Fashion Group has announced a strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG), the parent company of Champion, to expand its operations in Greater China. Under the agreement, Belle has officially obtained full-category licensing for Champion in the region, building on its 2021 footwear and accessories license. Champion, known for its iconic hoodies and a century-long legacy, was acquired by ABG in 2024 for $1.2 billion. With this new collaboration, Belle Fashion will oversee all aspects of Champion’s brand operations, including product development, marketing, and retail management.
H&M Reports Q1 Sales Growth Slower Than Expected
H&M Group’s Q1 results showed a 3 percent increase in net sales, totaling SEK 55.33 billion ($5.5billion), with a weaker-than-expected rise in local currency. Gross profit dipped to SEK 27.17 billion ($2.7 billion), and operating profit fell to SEK 1.2 billion ($118 million), as external factors and markdowns affected margins. Despite challenges, CEO Daniel Ervér highlighted improvements in the women’s assortment and digital store upgrades. March sales are expected to rise by just 1 percent, but the company is optimistic about a stronger second half as external pressures ease and strategic collaborations progress.
